'Alarming' Amazon Droughts May Have Global Fallout

In 2010, the Amazon experienced its second major drought in five years ? both of which were thought to be once-in-a-century events. Researchers say continued dry conditions could turn the carbon-absorbing forest into a major source of carbon emissions.

Two Held In Ohio Fraternity House Shooting

Jamail Johnson, a 25-year-old senior at Youngstown State University, was shot dead; 11 others were wounded, one critically. Six of the wounded also are university students. Youngstown police say the gunfire came from outside the house, where about 50 people were gathered.
